Lovely day

Another very excellent use of music and visuals – Bill Withers’ Lovely Day in 127 Hours. Sorry for the video quality.

Everything about this movie is amazing, and the creative and raw ways that Boyle and Franco communicate his despair and triumphs while being stuck in the same place are truly good film work.

I’m also particularly fond of this movie because its about overcoming the lone hero mythos to turn instead to society and people. Good stuff. But that’s a post for another day.
